ROAD TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT LEARNERSHIP

Requirements

  • A Matric / Senior certificate (minimum)
  • A valid Code B driver’s licence
  • South African citizen
  • No criminal record

Please Note: Applicants must not be older than 35 years and should be in good health.

Applicants will be subjected to psychometric testing, driving skills assessment as well as physical fitness assessment during the recruitment, selection and enlistment process.

The Road Traffic management Corporation (RTMC) will verify the qualifications, driver’s licences and residential addresses of each applicant.

Applicants will undergo a vetting process as determined by the RTMC. This may include, inter alia, reference checks, security clearance and criminal record check.

Applicants must be willing to be transferred and deployed anywhere within the borders of South Africa.

Applicants will have to undergo medical screening that will be arranged and administered by the RTMC. Successful candidates must be willing to undergo training in all weather conditions and irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.

Internship: Crash Data Collection (Ref. ICDC/RTMC /2013)

Requirements: ● A 3-year relevant degree or equivalent qualification ● Knowledge of data management and road traffic environment ● Computer literacy (MS Office package) ● Willingness to work long and irregular hours ●Team member

Duties:  Maintenance of data collection systems, processes and frameworks to ensure data collection. Ensure adherence to data collection policies and procedures and ensure compliance thereof in the section. Identify categories of data that are required for iRAP and other road infrastructure projects.  Identify and oversee the maintenance of sources of relevant data ensure continuous availability. Work closely and coordinate the collection of data from Safe infrastructure auditing, Crash Investigations, Law Enforcement and Compliance and other relevant parts of the Corporation. Oversee the collection of data from other external stakeholders. Manage the capturing of data in the relevant system within the defined prescripts. Oversee the testing and cleaning of data for reliability. Manage compliance to data formatting and categorization. Manage data storage and the maintenance thereof. Ensure security and the accessibility of data for relevant users. Monitor and maintain standards of recording and manage the preparation and dissemination of regular reports  Closing Date: 07 mar 2020
